The JISC TechDis Publisher Lookup Award for Library Service award was won by SAGE, a leading publisher of books, electronic media and journals. Nominated by library staff, SAGE have been recognised for providing an outstanding service in supplying books in alternative formats. The award was presented on Thursday 28th October 2010 at the CILIP Digital Information Conference in London.
Huw Alexander, Rights & Digital Sales Manager, received the award on behalf of SAGE said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those who kindly voted for us. The creation of the Publisher Lookup website and the blossoming of the digital space have done so much to open up content to the visually impaired and print disabled. We are keen to utilize these opportunities to provide a better service to our customers. The real winners here are the customers. We will strive to improve our services in the future to make sure that we are as responsive as possible and that our content is even more accessible to those who need it.”
