History
iansyst was founded in London in early 1983 by Ian Litterick, primarily to supply good value software for training and education. It began by selling the iANKEY range of typing tutors and then went on to sell other third party software.
By 1995, now based in Cambridge, iansyst was distributing the monologue Text to Speech Synthesis software and found that there was a lot of interest from people in the dyslexia world. This seemed to be an interesting and worthwhile area, with a fascinating amount to learn and an increasing amount of cutting edge technology. So the focus of dyslexia began by testing and building a portfolio of products suitable for their customers. The www.dyslexic.com website was introduced a year later and coincided with the start of iansyst’s relationship with the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).
Following the success within the dyslexia and disabilities market, iansyst employed its first trainer in 1997, and by 2000 practically all of iansyst’s work was to do with dyslexia and other disabilities, reselling other peoples solutions, whilst offering training and advice.
In 2007 iansyst launched Capturatalk, the first mobile phone with text to speech to empower people who struggle with reading by enabling them to have text read to them on Windows Mobile Phone.
As iansyst’s reputation within the disability market continued to grow, it is perhaps no surprise that they increasingly had requests from employers to bring their expertise to the workplace. By January 2008 iansyst had launched the re-adjust services and website.
As the company continued to grow and prosper, iansyst opened a Glasgow office in 2009 to provide tailored advice and training on the latest hardware and software solutions. It also launched its EarlBright publishing division, focusing on the partnerships, innovation and bringing accessibility to everyone.
In 2010 iansyst launched its4students website, a one-stop shop for all students to purchase the latest technology, computer software and gadgets at reasonable prices.
iansyst now has over 100 members of staff and a national training team, fully equipped to help individuals, educational institutions and organisations throughout the UK. It has international partnerships and a strong channel network.
