Environmental Policy

iansyst is committed to managing our operations so as to minimise our environmental impact and to promote good environmental practice. We regularly review our business practices and performance to identify how we can improve our energy efficiency, minimise packaging and reduce waste disposal and air emissions.

This company complies with the WEEE directive by arranging for this type of waste to be removed and recycled by a company licensed with the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier and Producer.

We take into account technical developments, changing scientific evidence, and customer expectations in the development and implementation of all new social and environmental policies and procedures. We have implemented processes that minimise our carbon footprint in supporting customers, e.g. including back-up and remote login facilities (with the users’ permission and knowledge) for all computer systems sold, and use local services where possible for the support of company operations, e.g. cleaning staff, legal advice, etc.

Our company aims to benefit the customers’ aims of being responsible consumers, including the sourcing of more power-efficient computers and solutions for customers. This includes the current initiative we’re running to develop more online and digital training material, as well as interactive training sessions to reduce the environmental impact of client training. In addition we advise our customers to dispose of WEEE in an approved manner and to consult an organisation such as recycle-more.co.uk for guidance if necessary.

Our Purchasing Department seek to build relationships with responsible and respected suppliers to minimise the potential risk of purchasing products that would be exploitative of other economies, employees or natural habitats. We try to use manufacturers that comply with the ISO 14001 International Certificate.
